EHF meets new board of Turkish federation
NEWS: Representatives of EHF and THF discussed various topics during a meeting in Vienna
The European Handball Federation has met with the newly elected board of the Turkish Handball Federation on Thursday (7 November) in Vienna.
The delegation headed by the new president, Mesut Çebi, and the Member responsible for international relations, İsmet Yiğit Şenocak, stopped in the Austrian capital on their way to the EHF EURO 2026 Qualifiers match, Austria vs Türkiye.
The delegations of the EHF, led by President Michael Wiederer and Secretary General Martin Hausleitner, and the THF, discussed several current topics in international handball involving Türkiye.
Talking points included the EHF Beach Handball EURO 2025 and its YAC 17 edition, which will be hosted in Alanya; the Women’s EHF EURO 2026, where Türkiye is one of the five co-hosts; and the 2027 European Olympic Games to be held in Istanbul.
The EHF looks back on a fruitful meeting with the THF as a cooperation partner, which further strengthens the good relationship between the continental and the national federation.
