No draw in the Women´s EHF Cup

In case of the Women´s EHF Cup Final no draw was needed on Tuesday, 16 April, as the home right for each of the legs has been defined automatically by the competition’s regulations.

A team that had the home right in the second game of their last appearance in a European Cup final within last three seasons automatically have the home right in the first leg at their next appearance.

This has been the case of Team Tvis Holstebro who played the Women´s EHF Cup Final against FC Midtjylland in 2011 and hosted the second game.

Holstebro, who failed two years ago against their domestic rivals, will host the first leg in Gråkjær Arena 4/5 May, the second leg will be played 11/12 May in Les Arenes in Metz.

The exact dates and times of the final matches will be confirmed following the coordination of TV requirements.

This is just the third European campaign for the Danish team, last season they were eliminated by Lada Togliatti from Russia, who then went on to win the competition, in the quarter-finals.

Holstebro got their revenge soon as they stopped the defending champions in the Last 16 this season.

Metz are a constant part of the continental club competitions since the inaugural season (1993/94), however they have never made it to the final before.

They reached semi-finals of the Cup Winners´ Cup four times.
