VELUX EHF FINAL4 sold-out
Four days before the big event in Cologne all tickets have been sold. Pre-sales for 2013 begin with the start of VELUX EHF FINAL4 weekend and at an exclusive price.
The LANXESS arena will be at full capacity on 26 and 27 May 2012. As soon as the four participating teams qualified, there was a rush for the remaining tickets. Organisers of the VELUX EHF FINAL4, EHF Marketing GmbH, have now announced that the third edition of the competition is officially sold-out. The very last ticket for a lucky handball enthusiast has been delivered and the last VIP box has been purchased.
The last remaining 2000 tickets were snapped up by fans from the four participating teams: THW Kiel, AG Kobenhavn, BM Atletico Madrid and Füchse Berlin. In Kiel, the tickets sold out in within the first 10 minutes after going on sale, as fans camped out overnight to be the first in the queue.
Tickets for 2013 available from 26 May
Those who did not have a chance to get their hands on a ticket this year can take comfort in the fact that ticket sales for 2013 will begin on the opening day of the VEULUX EHF FINAL4, Saturday 26 May 2012.
Handball fans can reserve the 1 and 2 of June 2013 in their calendars, and those securing their tickets for next year’s event also have the added bonus of buying their tickets at 2012 prices. This special offer expires on Thursday, the 31 May 2012.
Cologne and the LANXESS arena will welcome more than 20,000 handball fans from around the world on both Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 May 2012, as the four best teams in Europe compete for the VELUX EHF Champions League title. It is estimated that up to 8000 international visitors will be in the city to experience the event live, doubling the number from last year. Organisers believe that with the level of demand they have experienced they could have sold up to 50,000 tickets.

Fans travelling to Cologne can look forward to something special, not just the four most important matches of the club season, but also an appearance from the Swedish rock legends, EUROPE, both before the final in the hall and also making an appearance at the ‘Players’ Night’.
